After JUST BREATHE, I couldn’t wait to dive into the next book in Sarah Doughty’s wonderful urban fantasy series. Aisling Green is an Earthen witch who has just come into her powers at age twenty-one. In this book, they are in grave danger in Germany from the Kramer Scholars, who are hunting them, and also from a demon named Bannerst, who has the ability to possess Aisling and control her through her dreams. The world building in this series is absolutely phenomenal. There is a complex societal structure of witches and paranormal hunters. Every paranormal being in the world has a unique role, witches as magic users, vampires with special healing gifts, librarians as keepers of knowledge and neutral arbitrators. Everything about this world is just so well thought out and developed. I love all the characters. Connor and Aisling are so amazing to read on page together, whether it’s in urban fantasy scenes, or their romance, which is hot! I also love the side characters, especially Angela, Liam (my favorite in this book), and Shadow (a close second.) I look forward to seeing what comes next for these characters! 5/5 stars.

Storyline is around 3.5 but god there was a lot issues:
- Issues with magic not working and/or being used to try kill you? Have sex
- Running for your life and have just been fully tortured? Have sex
- In a small house full of supernatural strangers with supernatural hearing? Have sex
- In a small cabin with your werewolf friend who has just almost been murdered and therefore needs to heal and is trapped inside? Have sex
- On a plane, with many supernatural friends and acquaintances? Have sex
- Listening to a pixie mother and her family wailing with grief after you return the bodies of her dead triples? Have sex
- and not just sex, but loud, continuous sex for hours as supernatural energy
- is fully obsessed with MCs love interest’s Adam’s apple
- the first book was descriptively repetitive, this book even more so (and that’s not even including when she loses her memory and has to relearn things)
- author loves to say gods, but….
- love interest breathes? HAVE SEX

I had downloaded the full four books in this series but honestly, I just can’t do it.
