Had some tears on this reread. This might be my favorite book in the series. I still don't understand Willie as a character, but Missie is the most relatable character. They face so many challenges throughout yet persevere.

I liked this book because there was a lot of detail about their struggles & successes on the trail out to their new home. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

I liked this one perhaps more than the rest. It is the story of Missie and her husband Willie heading West in a covered wagon. The hardships along the way made me realize how thankful I should be and made me want to be stronger.
