this book was very clear and inspiring for taking charge of your life and work-life balance and finances and life philosophy, etc. i can see that it seeped into the normal lexicon over the years since it was first published, nice that they updated it. it was nice to see that we already do many of these things, and it was nice to see ourselves in the "enough" concept. its helpful to see that we can take the approach that we already take/have and go several steps further if we want, but i think at this time we don't need to be as extreme in charting everything as this book, but it was clear and helpful and has lots of ideas and frameworks and exercises and questions for discussion.

I feel like I've taken a lot from this book now and would like to re-read or re listen to it maybe 5 years from now. Such a good book to reflect on my relationship to money and slowing down my consumption cycles... Recommended!

I never read the original but I think this revamp seems fantastic! Definitely some of the same advice you’ll hear in other FIRE books, but I thought it seems grounded, simple to follow and achievable. I liked that it said read it once all the way through and then come back to start the steps. I’ve finished the first time and I think that’s made me excited to like go back and start again to work through the steps.

Helpful Read

So often we get inundated with objects that overwhelm our lives. This book gives you a new perspective to see those things and future purchases as your life source. How much life are you spending for the things you want, or think you need, in life?
