LOVE IT! The Book of Legends is the sequel to the debut novel of authors Jordan Bennett and Michael Jay and volume two of their series, The Books of Magic. This book continues to follow the band of heroes introduced in the first book though some are now missing. Their powers continue to grow as the enemies they face become stronger and smarter and while they look for their missing friends, they also take on the responsibility to help a community survive.
This was a great sequel! Just as much, if not more, world building takes place and rules for the new world are established in some bizarre, but explainable ways. Also, you see a lot of development for many of our characters, especially Finn and Lauren, which I just loved. The action is constant and the mysteries just keep coming, meaning that this story is never boring. And you know that there is sooooo much more to come. I can not WAIT for the next book!
I recommend this book (series) to anyone that enjoys reading new authors and adventure, monster-hunting tales!
