This has been good to read through and have learnt some great techniques that I feel actually have improved my reading speed... HURRAY! :)

Tiene muy buenas pautas acerca de incrementar la lectura y la comprensión. Algunas de las que más me sirvieron fueron las de la guía visual, poner atención en el movimiento de los ojos para reducir las regresiones e incrementar el vocabulario para reducir las distracciones que uno encuentra en el texto. Además, lo que se menciona acerca de las lectura de novelas y la forma de analizarlas es de las cosas más interesantes del libro.
Creo que exagera un poco en cuánto a la eficacia de las técnicas que menciona o me falta practicarlas, pero estoy seguro que son de ayuda definitivamente porque han incrementado mi velocidad de lectura y ceso que puedo incrementarla aún más tomándolas como base.

Buku ini ada 6 matlamat: Meningkatkan kepantasan membaca secara dramatik, meningkatkan dan mengekalkan pemahaman kita, meningkatkan kefahaman kita berkenaan fungsi mata dan otak untuk membantu kita menggunakannya dengan lebih berkesan semasa membaca, belajar, dalam kehidupan peribadi seharian dan kehidupan profesional kita, membantu memperbaiki kosa kata dan pengetahuan am kita, menjimatkan masa, dan menberi keyakinan diri.

مب كافي انه قديم والمواضيع العلمية والمعلومات والمقالات من التسعينات،أبداً ما أثار اهتماميه البتّه ولا حسيت فيه شي مذهل، لا بعد فكرة الكتاب شي أقدم وأقدم، من السبعينات وتوني يقدم برامج ودورات في هالمجال.

This book is a decent read. It has good, interesting information on speed reading. Hence, I can recommend it. However, I want to mention two caveats:
First, virtually all you learn in this book is available for free on the internet. The methods will be the same (although here you have them all presented very nicely).
Second, reading this book won't exactly improve your reading speed (actually it will, but only because people don't try to read fast by default). Actually reaching those fabled speeds of true speed readers requires a lot of effort, that is, very frustrating reading practice where you read a text often without actually understanding it. So be warned.

Los ejemplos que pone de lectores superrápidos son rumores, exageraciones e inventos. Y el método no enseña a leer rápido sino a sobrevolar las páginas. Cuanto más hago de lo que dice Buzan, tanto menos comprendo.

I had a different Speed Reading book 20 years ago that I liked better than this one. I bought this one 5 years ago or so. It's not great, but not horrible. It's badly organized yet still somewhat effective. I am not sure it would be as effective without having read the other book earlier. I wish I could remember the other book.
