Also like she's in labour for the whole night with her first one, but the sentence we get is about her husband coming downstairs after "a night of agony". My dude, what the fuck?! You did not just give birth to a baby, you have no right to speak of agony!
Anyways, I won't be continuing the series.

I took a peek at the remaining books and they seem to focus on their children. I'm not too excited about that but I suppose it's the natural order of things given how the story has progressed so far. I expect I'll loop them into my reading rotation here in there to have them read.

I once again wish that Gilbert was a more intimately developed character. In this one, I also felt more keenly the comparative close-mindedness of the time this book was written and set in.
