I picked this one up because it was described as a female Dexter, and it definitely delivered on the dark humor and fun, fast-paced vibe. It was entertaining overall, but Kitty just didn’t win me over like Dexter did, and the spice scenes were more cringe than the crime scenes.

Boek komt heel langzaam op gang. Er zit veel comedie in en ik kan het soms lastig volgen. richting het einde wordt het spannender met een bijzondere plot twist. verder was het boek anders dan ik had verwacht en was het niet echt mijn ding.

there were a couple things that could've been addressed... like and the ending went so quickly but it almost felt like too many plot twists...
i laughed, i cried, i screamed, i broke down sobbing because something in my house creaked late at night and i got scared, i cried a lot more, and then i laughed more :D

the stalker character could've been a bit closer to kitty bc i felt like she wasn't developed enough to have me actually caring for her and surprised when she betrayed kitty at the end... like even kitty didn't think she was that close to her, so it wasn't emotional for me when she was all like "oh we were never friends" bc they lowkey weren't... like if that had happened with tor i would've been sm saddercharlie is so book bf coded
