For years, Alan Hobbes has lived in the remains of a derelict mansion previously owned by the serial killer known as "The Angel Maker". Now he's been found stabbed to death in his own bed.
Chris Shaw is seen on a hidden camera in Alan's bedroom shortly before the murder. His sister Katie hasn't seen him in two years, but now the race is on to find him before it's too late.
A very well thought out read, mixing elements of philosophy in with the usual whodunnit story, with plenty left up to the readers' mind without leaving loads of unanswered questions.
A few good gasp worthy moments, and a well paced plot with a believable cast.
The next North novel on my list is Shadow Friends.

Thank you NetGalley and Michael Joseph Books, for a gifted copy of this read.

After reading this, I have concluded that the writing of this author is not something that I find appealing. Taking into consideration my personal preferences, I created a review that was fair by giving three stars.

I had a tough time comprehending this read because of the difficulty and confusion I experienced. I found it difficult to keep up with the progression of the plot and establish the purpose of each character. Despite any potential drawbacks, this read may captivate certain readers because of its positive attributes. I can only suggest that you take the time to read this when you can give it your complete and undivided attention.

Sadly, I do not have the understanding to grasp the concepts in this read.

First off thanks to netgalley for providing me an ARC!

I could not put this book down it was so good!!
The story follows 2 sets of siblings that are deeply troubled and their connection to a renowned serial killer, "the Angel Maker". The story keeps you hanging on how they are all intertwined together and each chapter leaves you hanging.
It changes POV from chapter to chapter, which we love. If you have issues reading about children getting harmed, this book is not for you. Overall, the book is incredibly well written and fast paced.

Surprisingly cerebral for a thriller!

It made me wonder about free will vs fare and how our views of it affect our lives. Very interesting read. Boring the first half or so, but aren’t most thrillers? The end was worth it.
