Buttercup is probably as mighty as katniss. (And my favorite)
This is a reread and i forgot how dark this one last book was.

Honestly i hope people could be kind to eachother. With the war in Palestina, we're no better than fiction. What i find truly hurtful os that real people out there is really suffering from the non logical power starved leaders.

I really enjoyed this book, but i still do not like the romance part. There's so much hopelessness in the whole story that it all seems out of place, although I guess that's the fun of it. That love can grow everywhere. (still give's me the ick all that romance, mainly in book two).

Reread. Really good conclusion to the series. I feel it tied up all the threads that have been laid over the course of the books, while still acknowledging that life goes on, and though this conclusion might not be perfect, it was still worth fighting for. Definitely some painful moments over the course of the book- I cried a lot, but I think those moments were done really well and felt worth something.

kinda had a hard time reading this one. i feel like the pacing is slower than the last two books, but it's a good ending to a good series.

This book really struck me hard as an adult. I read this during the YA Dystopia craze of the early 2010s and I don’t think I grasped many of the concepts as I do now. The aspect of a 17-year old being the central figure in a war blows my mind now. Katniss and the people around her are forced to make so many difficult decisions to survive. She says something to the effect of feelings/ emotions need to be processed later and that struck me so deeply. She’s in an active war zone without any room or space to process that all of the people she loves and holds dearly are dying. Collins really wrote a YA classic and it holds up even almost 15 years later.

The end to an incredible series. I prefer the books when they are actually in the games but this still remains interesting and engaging. It divulges into some interesting topics/dilemmas of power, relationships, etc which I really liked. I liked to see a lot of the character development, especially Effie! Definitely one of my favourite series of all time, love it!!

Katniss is horrible and nobody there is really likeable but the writing style and pace are so good
