Welcome, and thank you for your interest in She Wears the Midnight Crown! When we were planning this project, Duck Prints Press's management team sat down and considered what kinds of stories we wanted to tell, and what kinds of stories we wanted to give our authors room to tell. So many real-life queer experiences relate to the masks we have to wear in public, or with our families, or at our jobs, or, or, or; we really wanted to make a place for our authors to give us some happy endings about what happens when the masks come off. The results? A pair of anthologies - this one and He Wears the Cape of Stars - focused on telling wlw and mlm stories about characters at masquerades.
