I love the connection between Nella and Eliza. And Frederick! Oh, I hate him with the passion of a thousand suns. He got exactly what he deserved.

James is a dick...but he did have a point. He may have been manipulative, but Caroline also didn't speak up for herself. She lost herself in the marriage and her identity and gave up her passions and love of history.

They forgot to communicate with one another. Not that that excuses him at all. He's still a dick, and she deserves much more. She deserves someone who pushes her to pursue her passions, not someone who tells her to shelve them.

I'm thrilled that Caroline is regaining her identity and sense of self here.
