Mystery-thriller with a tw for animal abuse, child abuse, infertility, forced institutionalization, + more
Okay, I don't hate this book but it just wasn't good. It felt half-baked with an ambiguous ending (sequel upcoming). I'm not a huge fan of the creepy child trope, I suppose. However, I will be reading the sequel with the hope that it'll make reading this worth it.
