Fun fact: The Seed to Harvest Series actually consists of 5 books, but Survivor (4th book in the series) has not been reprinted since 1978 because Octavia Butler disliked it and referred to it as "my Star Trek novel". It is for that reason - I have no included it in the list.

Fun fact: Octavia Butler was the first black woman to be inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. She was inducted posthumously in 2010.
