The Asteroid Belt
The asteroid belt is a grouping of asteroids (space rocks) that are in between Mars and Jupiter. They serve as the division line between the terrestrial planets and the gas/icy giants. Contrary to popular belief, the asteroid belt is not the remains of a destroyed planet. There are other groups of asteroids within the Solar System. One example is the Jupiter Trojans, which are two groups of asteroids that orbit the Sun along Jupiter's orbit. These two groups are either 60º preceding or trailing Jupiter. A small asteroid that gets knocked out of the belt and enters the Earth's atmosphere is called a meteoroid. A meteor is the phenomenon that occurs while a meteorite is burning up in the Earth's atmosphere (a shooting star). If a meteor reaches the ground intact, the remains are called a meteorite.

Suggestions: a short story collection, poetry (fragmented), a book with a lot of characters, a book with a collection of small creatures (like a group of ants or dwarfs or something i don't know), a book about rocks, a series of vignettes...
