Environmental Literature
Reading suggestions (in addition to the books added to the prompt):
  • Taiwanese Nature Writing in Translation, special issue on the Willowherb Review
  • Two Trees Make a Forest by Jessica J.Lee, a British-Canadian writer of Taiwanese descent
  • Under the Dome 穹頂之下 (documentary film) by Chai Jing, about air pollution in China
  • Seeing, the English translation of journalist Chai Jing's autobiog 看見, should be published sometime in 2022

There's a ton of environmental lit from Taiwan, but most are still untranslated. If you are comfortable reading in Chinese, have a look at 自然書寫 (nature writing) and 山海文學 ('mountain and ocean literature', referring to indigenous literature in TW) ^^
