A picture book written and illustrated by African-American artist Jacob Lawrence, this is one of the older books published relating to Harriet Tubman and is a historically valuable part of her literary history. It's short length and sparse use of text make it not really an addition to the facts but more a piece of art well worth reading in accompaniment with these biographies.
