Harriet Tubman: A Literary Overview - hosted by baylaurels

Moses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom by Carole Weatherford, ill. Kadir Nelson (2006)
Another picture book, this one provides a focus on Harriet's faith, and how it factored into her escape and subsequent work helping other freedom seekers. While it has a narrow breadth, it acts as an interesting window into one specific part of her life, and a good supplement for those who have already read a more broad account of her story. Kadir Nelson's artwork is also especially stunning and what really make the book shine.
