Many authors have been inspired by Jane Austen’s work. For this prompt, you could pick a spin-off or a modern retelling of one of Austen’s novels. It could be a memoir of someone who travelled around teaching about Jane Austen’s books or a non-fiction autobiography about Jane. You could also interpret this prompt as a book that inspired Jane Austen (check out this list of books Jane might have read), or read a book by an author who says Jane is one of their favorites.
