I want to intentionally read a book I haven’t read before that’s located in each of the 50 U.S. states—one book per week over the course of 2023. The books can be any genre or level, famous or obscure, old or new. They have to have some significant engagement with their state, but the specific local setting can be fictionalized. It’s fine if they move around as long as they’re also undeniably rooted somewhere.

I’ll go through the states in alphabetical order, deciding what to read based on searches and recommendations (and just whatever I’m feeling that week).
