Just to keep track and give me ideas when I am bored. Books can be added to more than one prompt if the span multiple decades.
Alternative timelines count if they are set in this world, e.g Man in the high castle is acceptable for the 1960s and 1984 would be acceptable for 1980s
480s BC runs from 489BC to 480BC. 480s runs from 480AD to 489AD.
Non fiction books are fine as long as they are giving detailed accounts of events in that decade. Books than span huge time periods (e.g a book giving information on the roman empire) which only give vague details on the differences between decades are cheating.
Biographies/Auto biographies are also acceptable.
Books do not have to focus on historical events to count just be set in the given decade. If a book does not mention any historical events, there is no mention of the year and there is no reason to think it is set in the past/future, it is fine to assume the book was set in year it was written. For example I will be assuming Pride and Prejudice was set in the 1810s.
