Overview
Hi everybody,
You've heard their last names, you've likely read a couple classics in high school or college written by them. Now let's endeavor to read even more from them on our own. I've selected 15 great Russian authors, each highly respected and lauded by academics, historians, and readers alike, several who have the distinction of being "one of the greatest writers of any era." I've included the work(s) that each author is most famous for, and or works that strongly represents the author's storytelling style and philosophies.

OBJECTIVES:
- Whether reading or re-reading them in translation or in the original Russian, read one to two titles from each Russian author.
- Titles read in the past can be counted towards the overall challenge.
- Some authors have one title prompt, while others have up to four. The prompts for authors with more than two titles are designated as bonus.
- The prompts are a mix of novels, novellas, short stories, and plays.
- Going forward, I may add additional titles (as bonus) that are fiction or nonfiction, by the same featured authors.
AUTHORS FEATURED:
Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Gogol, Chekhov, Pushkin, Turgenev, Solzhenitsyn, Nabokov, Grossman, Bunin, Gorky,
Pasternak, Bulgakov, Lermontov, and Leskov.
