You can read one, five or all the books in the list. Don't worry, this is not a race. Also, if there's a book you don't really feel like reading, because you didn't like it or you think it's too long (or maybe boring), you can skip it, that's valid too.
If you can't get the book, I suggest you go to sites like "archive.org", "gutenberg.org" for e-books or, "librivox.org" for audiobooks in the Public Domain.
