If you're at all like me, you want to learn this, that, and that, but the second it becomes "learning", you're suddenly reluctant to do it. Here is my maybe solution, but, well. I don't have a large sample to select from, so I'm hoping y'all will help me with this: here are fiction books that vaguely describe dealing and reading tarot or describe the cards and their meanings. Sure, it might take a near decade to learn tarot this way, but hey, at least I'll enjoy doing it!
