This challenge is geared towards finding and reading independent comics and graphic novels! I'm defining "independent" comics as any sequential or stand-alone graphic work where the creators presumably retain rights to their work and their characters. Some of these titles have well-known publishers, while others may be self published.

I've read and really liked most of these titles, and I encourage you to dive in and read more than one for each prompt! Good resources to read comics for free, legally, include your local library and interlibrary loans, and Graphite Comics. Some of these titles also began as webcomics, and were published for free online by their creators. I plan to add more titles to this list as I continue my own reading journey.
