Read the 1968 list of recommended reading for new members of the Black Panther Party.
In the challenge prompts are the books listed by the Party. Though the authors are listed in alphabetical order, I've put the 5 books at the top of the page, if you know the picture I'm talking about, at the top of this list in the order the Party listed them, so it looks pretty much the same as the original document. StoryGraph doesn't have all the books listed, or some books have the wrong publication years listed, or some books have different titles on the list than what they actually are, so I'll do my best to clean it up as much as possible. The bonus prompts are books written by former members, people often assumed to be in the Party, or books often read in conjunction with the previous books listed.
No time limit because I will try to read these by when the book is available at my local libraries.
As of February 13, 2024, StoryGraph has updated their reading challenge prompt options! I will not delete this one however! I made this challenge 2 years ago and I did a pretty good job. Anyway,
