The Newbery Medal is a prestigious literary award for children’s literature in the United States. The criteria for the award is that the eligible book must be written by a United States citizen or resident, and published first or simultaneously in the United States in English during the preceding year.

I’m challenging myself to read as many Newbery contenders as I can, and this time starting a bit earlier in the year.
