I don’t see a lot of Queer Black reading challenges. So I’m here to fix that :)
The rule is that the author must be black.
HARD-MODE: Ownvoices queer e.g a black gay man mc written by a black gay man
The queer character must be black. The whole cast need not be all black. Mixed race casts are fine as long as one or more of the queer characters are black.
Also Mixed/biracial Black authors and characters are included.
For the character prompts must be a main or at least a major side character.
The same book(s) can be used to fill multiple prompts
This will focus on adult fiction as there is a misconception that all the diversity is in YA/kidlit and adult fiction is all white people :/.
There will be bonus YA/MG prompts but the main prompts are for adult fiction
