Overview
Welcome to The StoryGraph's 2023 Read the World challenge! Last year we hosted our first challenge of this type and the feedback was brilliant! Everyone enjoyed their literary travels, and we loved that people were picking up books from countries they'd never read from before.
This year we've picked 10 new countries for you to visit via books. We hope this challenge will help you read more broadly and pick up authors from around the world. Plus, a few of them will offer you the chance to read something in translation too - win-win! You can read fiction or non-fiction works for this challenge - anything goes!
The goal is to read a book set in the country, by an author from that country. You can definitely read from authors in that country's diaspora too, but please try to choose books which are physically set in that country (or at least partly!). The aim is to try to get outside of the US and UK. :-)
