I want to eventually read a book from every country in the world. Here I’ll track my reading of Asian literature spanning 49 different countries - feel free to join me! 

If I can, I’ll try to read a book by an author from the country, set in the country. However, there will probably be a few exceptions. 

Since it can be a bit tricky to find literature from smaller countries, I have decided to make all countries with a population below 1 million, a bonus prompt. 

Three countries (Cyprus, Russia and Türkiye) are often considered a part of both Asia and Europe, which means I’ll include them in both.
