This challenge is meant as a step up from the MRC but not as big a commitment as the URC. The tasks are taken from the MRC and the URC, so if you are in one of them, there will be some overlap and you can handle that however you like. The intent of this challenge is one book per fortnight for the year 2024. You can count these books for other challenges if you like, or count books from other challenges. And you can also choose to count a book in more than one category if you really want to, but the real spirit of the game is 25 books.

I write a blog, where I try to help everyone find possible categories for their books in the snarkiest manner possible. Only books you read in 2024 count, but I'll leave it to you if one started in 2023 and finished in 2024 counts. Likewise, you can begin the challenge at any time in the year and retroactively count books you've already read in 2024.

You do not have to participate via Storygraph. I'll accept submissions on social media, on my blog contact form, links to documents and spreadsheets, etc. You can find links to the various submission options on my new year's day post. 

What books you read is dependent partly on your tastes and reading ability. Therefore, all book formats are permitted (audiobook, ebook, physical book, etc), and all sorts of book-ish things - comic books, manga, picture books, plays, poetry collections, movie scripts, etc. As long as you think of it as a book, you can count it, no matter how you go about reading it. This challenge is meant to be all-ages - you can bend the prompts to make them more age-appropriate where necessary.
