Take a tour through the stories that inspired Studio Ghibli's moving and evocative films. This will specifically focus on Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata's work, however other Ghibli movies will be included as bonus prompts.
Any prompt where the inspiration does not have an English translation, or are based solely off of poems/singular short stories have also been made 'bonus'. The films completed by Miyazaki's son have been denoted by including his full name (Gorō Miyazaki). Red Turtle has also been included, however has no direct literary sources of inspiration.
