Overview
There are plenty of Read Around the World challenges that list the 193 UN Member States, give or take a few. But what is missing from those challenges are the territories that are observer states, disputed territories, or dependent territories. So, I made it.
This list comes from the Wikipedia page "List of sovereign states and dependent territories by continent" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_and_dependent_territories_by_continent) pulled on October 27, 2024. The only changes to the full list are 1) UN Member States have been removed, 2) uninhabited territories have been removed, and 3) where appropriate due to small populations and close affiliations, some entries have been combined (e.g. the BSE islands).
