There have been so many mythology retellings centring overlooked or villainised female characters in recent years and they all sound interesting. So why not create a challenge to tick them all off one by one? If you feel the same, then welcome and happy reading!

The criteria for books on this list are as follows:
1. Must be a retelling of a myth/epic etc. from any culture centred around a female character or one that identifies as a woman
2. Should be written by a woman or an author, who identifies as a woman
