This is the official start of the 2025 TBR Purge as sanctioned by the Magic Bookshop. Targeting of all books – whether they be nonfiction, fantasy, manga, audiobooks, etc. – is acceptable during the Purge. All other media is restricted – no drama marathon, no game ensnarement, no distraction. Commencing at the siren, 13 books will be removed from your TBR pile by either reading them or retiring them from March 21st to May 21st. (ง'̀-'́)ง

RULES
- All books are open to being removed from your TBR – doesn’t matter if it’s your physical or digital TBR list. Anything on your reading TBR is open for this challenge – there is no specific medium or style that we are looking for.
- You cannot add books to your TBR during this challenge. This challenge is focused on shrinking your TBR – not adding to it. 🔪
- Acceptable ways to remove books: reading them OR DNF’ing them.
- You can keep track of your purges by using our Storygraph challenge. To complete the challenge on Storygraph, make sure to add your favorite TBR read to the 14th prompt. (This is because Storygraph doesn’t let you use DNFs for challenges.)
