Overview

A twist on the geographical reading challenge: read by latitude! Latitude is delineated by the horizontal lines that run across a map, and it marks distance from the equator, from 90°N to 90°S. For this challenge, the categories are grouped by 10 degrees, and any book set in a location within that band of latitude will count. Beneath every prompt are some example cities/countries with a corresponding latitude.

If a book has multiple settings, feel free to use it for whichever or as many prompts as you need. Obviously for a book to count, it must be at least partly set on Earth, although speculative fiction or alternate universe locations can work too, as long as they correspond to a real place on Earth.

The most remote northern and southern parts of the globe are listed at the end as bonus prompts.
