This challenge is designed to encourage us all to read more books from independent publishers and small presses, meaning any publisher outside the 'big 5' or any of their imprints. I reckon we should include self-published works, too, and everyone gets bonus points for shopping at an independent bookshop or borrowing from the public library :)
