Overview

Welcome to the 2025 Reading Challenge hosted by Rewilding Our Stories, a group of ecofiction readers who are interested in climate and ecological themes in contemporary and speculative arts and literature. The goal of this year's reading challenge is to read up to 25 new-to-you books with environmental themes in 2025. The books you choose can be any genre or length: a slim poetry collection counts just as much as a lengthy speculative fiction novel or a dense academic monograph.

This is a drop-in challenge that anyone can join, regardless of whether you read 5 environmental books this year or 25. The point of the challenge is to encourage us to diversify our eco-reading, share recommendations, and have fun.

You are welcome to join our Discord server to share your progress and discuss what you've read: https://discord.gg/hXQWTEgpbT
