Overview
This is your standard A to Z challenge but instead of using the book titles to complete the prompts you will be using the authors names.
- No doubling up books. If you want to use an authors name more than once you need to read more than one book by that author. And only one letter of that authors name can count towards completing a prompt.
- Rereads count but if its a book you've already counted towards this challenge this year like stated above double ups do not count.
- Only the first letter of either the authors first or last name count. If they use their middle names on the cover you can use that also. Even if its just the first initial on the cover it counts.
- For harder letters or letters you just cannot find a name to fit you can use any letter within an authors name as long as it fits the other rules of the challenge.
- Real names and aliases count. If their real name or their alias is not on the cover it can not count for the prompt.
- Only the Author who wrote the book counts towards the prompts. So quotes by other authors on the cover don't count.
- To complete a letter you must read a book first before you add the author to one of the prompts.
- Any author, any page count, any age range can count. As long as its a book you can find on Storygraph or Goodread can count towards this challenge
- Lastly all these rules are up to your own digression to follow, if you have any questions about whether a book will count or not just ask yourself "Would I be mad if someone else counted this book for this prompt?" If yes then don't count it, if no then count it.
