Book Chain 2024

I'm back with another round of Book Chain!!

The idea of this challenge is that your most recent read ("New Book") relates back to the book that completed your last prompt ("Last Book"). Consequently, these prompts must be completed IN ORDER. If the book you most recently finished doesn't fit the prompt, you are stuck there until you read a book that does!!

This year I have 33 prompts to complete the challenge (that's when my invention gave out haha). Then there are an additional 32 bonus prompts for fun. These are the same prompts as the first 33 (minus the first prompt), but in a different order. (Do these numbers not actually add up to the correct number of prompts? Maybe. I'm not actually great at this, so some of these prompts may be here too many times LOL)

Challenge Prompts

1. "A" or "The" in title.

2. New Book has more pages than Last Book.

3. New Book has a lower GoodReads or StoryGraph rating than Last Book.

4. New Book's title has fewer words than Last Book's title (or both titles have one word).

5. The title of New Book is the same color as the title of Last Book.

6. One of New Book's author's names starts with the same letter as one of Last Book's author's names.

7. New Book is at least five years older than Last Book.

8. New Book has fewer pages than Last Book.

9. If Last Book's title started with a vowel, than New Book's title should start with a consonant, or vice versa.

10. New Book was published in a different decade than Last Book.
