Welcome to the Breath of the Wildathon, a series of readathons inspired by the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

THE STORY
Calamity Ganon was once defeated with the aid of a mechanical army of Guardians & the four titanic Divine Beasts. For thousands of years Ganon laid dormant, sealed beneath Hyrule Castle. 100 years ago he broke free and corrupted the Guardians and Divine Beasts, turning Hyrule’s most powerful weapons against them.

Link, and a great army of Hylian warriors were wounded and on the verge of death. Princess Zelda placed them in the Shrine of Resurrection to heal for 100 years, until one day they started to stir and woke to find themselves on the Great Plateau…

And that’s where our journey begins! We will work together to reclaim all four Divine Beasts (Vah Ruta, Vah Rudania, Vah Medoh & Vah Naboris), weakening Calamity Ganon enough to defeat him and bring peace back to Hyrule.

THE GREAT PLATEAU
After waking from your 100-year slumber, you find yourself atop the Great Plateau with no way down. You must complete 5 rune challenges in order to acquire a glider (Glider Perk), which will give you a way off the plateau…
