This challenge is different from all the other challenges because it only includes books for which I could find references in the show. As I find more notations of books, I'll add them. 

Methodology: All Books Referenced In "Gilmore Girls" and “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life”. Books referenced multiple times will be listed once (the additional episode notation(s) may or may not be annotated). 

What I considered for the list: books mentioned, seen, read by a character, quoted, or connected to a cultural reference in the show. If only an author's name was mentioned and a specific book was mentioned in another episode, then the reference was attributed to that book; if no other book was mentioned, then the reference to the author was credited to the author's most popular book. I included books to movie adaptations mentioned/seen if the book closely influenced the movie. 

I did the challenge as a prompt rather than a specific book because some books can be accomplished by reading an author's compilation. 

Some books appear on the popular lists online, but no reference could be found so they were omitted. Some books were omitted from the lists and thus added here with a reference.
