This book is just fine, but I have a lot of things I want to complain about so I’m doing it here :p

  1. This book is wayyy to obsessed with its characters, to such an extent that the plot is, for most of the book, left alone (which is stupid considering it’s the only interesting part about the book).
  2. There are so many unnecessary scenes in this book that should have been replaced with some plot related scenes! It would have helped with how slow and dragged out the book feels.
  3. This book also suffers from the fact that it has wayy too many characters, that are all getting way too many scenes even though they’re not that important to the story.
  4. Apparently the author misgenders one of its nonbinary characters repeatedly throughout the book even though it has been established that this character uses they/them pronouns(I did not notice this myself but someone I follow did), which i assume was an oversight in the editing process since it was fixed in the second and third book.

Even though I have many criticisms of this book, I ended up getting invested in the plot and decided to read all three books in three days(so I guess it’s not completely terrible).
