Curious Tides by Pascale Lacelle
3.0
Curious Tides was not what I was expecting it to be. I was hopeful with the size of the book the world building, character development and plot would be on point. I unfortunately found the character development a little forced and the plot was a struggle. I do think that the world building was on point though. I found myself enthralled in how the magic system works in the book and the "good vs. Evil" thing they have going on.
Overall, the plot was TERRIBLY slow, and I wanted to reach inside the book and smack the FMC upside the head for about 50% of the book for her "woe is me" outlook on life. If you are a person who can get through 75% of a book before the plot picks up then I would recommend reading it purely for the ending, but if you need something to hold onto the entire time then this book is not for you.
