This was an interesting book, a look into the independence movement in Kenia through the eyes of the people in a town, which have very different roles. I think it was very rich in the way it shows how the British empire and later the independence from it impacted the lives and relationships of the people. It was very informative and eye opening, but sometimes hard to read.
