Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

5.0

I really liked Tiger Lily.

She was always one of the most fascinating characters from Peter Pan for me (other than Tinkerbell) and it was nice to see her in her own story.

At first, she seemed just very brooding and one demential, always shutting people out, but then you realize that she actually does care for people and have feelings, she just doesn't always show them. Knowing that she was, in fact, capable of loving Peter Pan, being Tinkerbell's friend, and loving Tik Tock like a father, made this book much more enjoyable.

I love how Tink told this story, because being a faerie gave her the perfect opportunity to read Tiger Lily and Peter's minds and know what they were feeling. She had the ability to be everywhere and no where at the same time, making her the perfect fly on a wall.

One of the sweetest parts, in my opinion, is whenever Tink would say that she did love Peter and was jealous that Tiger Lily did too. Because she would always say that Tiger Lily's happiness meant more to Tink than her own did. When I watch Peter Pan again, and Tink attacks Wendy, I will tell myself that she's protective of Tiger Lily.

BTW, when reading this book, every time Peter was in it, I would imagine him as Robbie Kay. Because he played Peter in Once Upon A Time, and while it wasn't the way the character was written, he was outstanding at it. He will forever be my image of Peter Pan.

Definitely five stars!!!!
