I had high expectations for this book and it was very good, though only worthy of three stars I feel. It is a sad book, so if you are emotional read with a box of tissues. The most interesting aspect was the story of Josie's father, which I feel was not explored enough. This is the first novel I've read by Southgate and I'll probably try others.
