megansk 's review for:
My Favourite Mistake
by Marian Keyes
Couldn't finish it. Tried hard to but the writing is flat and unnecessarily wordy. There's no conflict driving the story forward. There's not enough character development for us to really love the character and read it for her. I like that she's in her forties and perimenopausal and child free, but dang there's nothing relational about her that the reader can connect to. Too bad because I loved Again, Rachel.
