This author has been hit and miss with me throughout the Grishaverse but I was excited to dive into this one. And it was a mixed bag for me. There were moments I loved and was fully invested... but then there were moments that had my mind completely wandering and unable to stay focused. Interested in book 2 and see how this continues. I know this series was originally going to be a huge series (around 12 books I believe) but is now slotted as a trilogy.
