I'll admit to skimming this book. It's a continuation of the by-now-universally-read [b:The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing|22318578|The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing|Marie KondÅ|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1418767178s/22318578.jpg|41711738], with more concrete advice.
There is a tone of self-congratulation in both books that I find faintly off-putting. I also find the brand message to be exceptionally strong, as if the author was planning a future line of organizing tools that will go with the book's handy dandy instructions. Is there useful advice here? Yes, but it's not the most compelling read.
