Bitter Pill by Jordan Castillo Price

5.0

Good Lord! So many things are happening here! Yes, of course, there is the particular case Vic and Jacob are working on (and what a joy is having them working together again!) and having them teaming up with Carolyn and Zig? That was brilliant! And yes, I may have screamed in joy a little when I saw they were having a big part in this book. I adore Carolyn and have a deep fondness for Zig, so yes, I loved to see them again.

But there is also Jacky's storyline which was so irreversibly sad, and yet, with such a hopeful ending. And I love the way in which it comes together with the haunting at Vic's old place!

And then, there is Kamal, and the memories from Camp Hell, and the fingernail demons...

And here, right here, is the reason why I love this series so much: everything, even some apparently random words from a previous book, makes sense. Everything is connected.

And that ending! OMG! I don't know how I'll wait until the next book! Because of that ending... and because I really want to know what it is which has made Darla unreachable.

I hope the audiobook will make the wait less painful :P

As always, I loved every word of this book ♥
